Description |
For solo piano. In the symphonic poem The Moldau, Smetana evokes the course of the Vltava river (Moldau in German), from the Bohemian forest through the Czech countryside. A peasant wedding is passed along the way. The music is only too brief, gradually dying away as the river continues its course. A friend suggested I try lengthening this segment of The Moldau, which I did by adding a middle section. |
